We are looking for talents to rapidly grow together Artifact, a startup established by three founders with proven track-records in AI consulting and scaled AI implementations.
For our powerful team, we are looking for a Swiss based Senior Data Engineer / Consultant.
Your mission

- Lead the integration and transformation of various data sources through data pipelines into cloud environments, through end-to-end data management
- Lead delivery workstreams with high-performing teams in an agile way and take accountability for the delivery qualityCommunicate outcomes and collaborate on solution / product development
- Build a trusted relationship with various stakeholders across our clients, teams, and partners
- Coach other team members

Job requirements
Your profile:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or a related STEM field
- 4+ years of successful experience in Data Engineering work
- Fluency in Python and expertise in other programming languages
- Familiarity with database technology and Big Data frameworks, e.g. SQL, NoSQL, and Spark
- Experience in architecting and bringing analytics solution into production and preferably scale them afterwards, e.g. based on Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake or Redshift platforms with DevOps, MLOps and DataOps exposure
- Experience in cloud technologies such as Azure Databricks or Azure Data Factory
- Experience to design & build traditional data warehouses or data lakes as well as data architectures
- Experience to deliver solutions leveraging agile methodology
- Preferably experience to visualize data insights with tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of AI approaches such as Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision
- Excellent written and oral communication (English and German are a must; preferable also French). Good interpersonal skills to work with business and IT stakeholders
- Experienced in working with virtual distributed teams
- Willingness to travel
- Solving problems and making the extra mile is part of your nature
- Work permit in Switzerland or citizen of an EU/ EFTA country
Additional preferred qualification:
- Proven track-record in consulting
- Deeper experience in several industries such as logistics, pharma, consumer and financial industry
- Ready to move out of your comfort zone
- Open-minded and with a good sense of humor
